Even beginners can enjoy painting with natural lacquer♪

It is a plan where you can experience maki-e, where you can freely draw pictures on the finished lacquerware!

Estimated time is 40 to 90 minutes. The guide will instruct you carefully, so anyone can easily experience it♪

When making a reservation, you will not be able to proceed unless you select the course title, course content, number of participants, and finally the name of the person in charge (persons 1 to 4).

[Breakdown of trial courses]

Chopstick lacquer painting experience: Product cost 1,650 yen + material cost 1,100 yen = 2,750 yen

Bowl lacquer painting experience: Product cost 2,500 yen + material cost 1,100 yen = 3,850 yen

Urushi-coated items are easily damaged, difficult to clean, and you are worried about rashes...

So don't you think that handling is troublesome?

It is true that you may get a rash if you touch undiluted lacquer. But as long as it's completely hardened after being painted, it's fine! !

The best maintenance for lacquer, which doesn't like drying out, is to replenish moisture by repeating "using and washing"♪

[About the order of painting experience]

① Select the item.

Choose your favorite from a variety of bowls, plates, and chopsticks ☆

*If you purchase an item that costs more than 1,500 yen for chopsticks or 2,500 yen for a bowl, we will ask you to pay extra on-site.

② Draw a rough sketch with chalk.

Draw with chalk on the chosen vessel or plate. There is no problem with painting with lacquer over chalk.

③ Paint with colored lacquer.

Paintings are done with six colors of lacquer, including vermilion, black, yellow, green, white, and light blue lacquer. If you apply thick lacquer, it will not finish well.

The trick is to draw thinly and evenly.

It will be easier to proceed if you draw from the outline part♪

④Sowing with gold powder

Sow gold powder~♪

It's completed♪♪

Finish with gold or silver powder before the lacquer hardens. After that, the lacquer is left moist for about 1 week to 10 days to harden.

◆Delivery method : It will take approximately 1 week to 10 days from completion to delivery.


◆What to bring/clothes : There is nothing in particular, but lacquer will not come off if it gets on your clothes.
Aprons, gloves, and arm covers will be provided, but please come in clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
