Utsuro refers to the flow of time, such as the change of seasons.
We named it Utsuro with the aim of making lacquerware that is compatible with modern life while still making use of traditional techniques .
Dubbed the ``Utsuroi Bowl,'' the design of this bowl was inspired by the yoreki vessels used by monks in training, and each comes in a set of three that can be nested one on top of the other.
The keyaki is thinly hollowed out, and the outside is finished with metallic paint for a glossy finish.
It looks cool and feels like a titanium cup.
It has a texture. The thickness is 1.5mm, which is cut out to be as thin as possible.
Natural wood has a property that does not conduct heat easily, so it does not feel hot even when you hold it in your hand.

While the color is modern, the grain of the zelkova wood is transparent on both sides, giving you a sense of the warmth of the wood. If the paint becomes thin, you can repaint it (for a fee).
