☆Painting experience plan details

This is a natural lacquer painting experience that even beginners can easily participate in.
You can enjoy "simple makie," where you freely draw pictures and patterns on pre-prepared lacquerware.

The journey takes approximately 40 to 90 minutes .
A staff member will call you approximately 15 minutes before the end of the experience.
Our staff will provide careful support, so anyone from children to adults can participate with peace of mind.

*If you wish to extend your time, an extension fee of 1,000 yen (tax included) per group per hour will be charged.
*Extension may not be possible depending on the reservation situation on the day.

• Chopstick lacquer painting experience: 3,850 yen (product cost 1,650 yen + material cost 2,200 yen)

• Bowl lacquer painting experience: 4,950 yen (product cost 2,500 yen + material cost 2,200 yen)
  *The product price includes the cost of the finished lacquerware, and the material price includes painting tools and paint.

• Information about experience time <br data-end="602" data-start="599"> A staff member will contact you once 15 minutes before the end of the experience.
  If you would like to continue a little longer, you can extend the time for 1,000 yen (tax included) per hour per group.

◆ Lacquerware is something that grows with daily use

Lacquerware is sometimes thought to be difficult to handle, but once it has dried and hardened properly, it is surprisingly easy to care for. The daily habit of using and washing the lacquer gives it just the right amount of moisture, and the more you use it, the deeper the luster and texture will become.

Lacquerware that has just been stored in a box can now be used on your everyday dining table.
Why not try living a life of nurturing lacquerware?

When making a reservation, you must select the course title, course content, number of people participating, and finally the name of the person in charge (person in charge 1 to 4) before you can proceed to the next step.

[Order of the painting experience]

①Select the item.

Please choose your preferred bowl and chopsticks.
*Chopsticks up to 1,500 yen and bowls up to 2,500 yen (tax included) are included in the basic price.
If you choose more items, you will be required to pay the difference on the day.

②Draw a rough sketch with chalk.

Use chalk to draw a rough outline on the surface of the selected dish.
*It is okay to draw on top of the chalk with lacquer, so feel free to try it.

③ Paint with colored lacquer.

We offer six colors of lacquer : vermilion, black, yellow, green, white, and light blue .
It is easier to balance the outline first, and the key to a good finish is to paint evenly and thinly . There is no problem if you mix colors like paint.

④Sprinkle with gold powder

Before the lacquer dries, gold powder is sprinkled on to finish the piece.
With the addition of elegance, you can create a special piece of lacquerware that is just for you!

After this, the work will be dried and finished in the workshop and will be delivered to you in about 1 week to 10 days .

About delivery

After application, the lacquer is allowed to harden for about a week to 10 days while maintaining humidity.
Therefore, it will take about a week to 10 days for your item to be delivered after the experience . Once it is completed, it will be shipped or available for pickup in-store.

◆How to receive

• If you would like your item shipped after completion, additional shipping charges will be incurred.

• You can also pick up your order at the store. Please let us know your preferred method.

◆What to bring and what to wear

• No special equipment is required, but lacquer is difficult to remove once it gets on your clothes .
  We provide aprons, gloves, and arm covers, but please wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.

• If you have an illustration or pattern you would like to draw, it will be easier if you bring a design idea with you.

A. Because it takes time for the lacquer to dry, the painting experience will take about 1 week to 10 days, and the lacquer wiping experience will take about 3 weeks, after which the item will be delivered or picked up in store.

A. You don't need to bring anything special, but **lacquer will not come off if it gets on your clothes. **We will provide aprons and gloves, but please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
