Utsuro refers to the flow of time, such as the change of seasons. The name Utsuro was created with the aim of creating lacquerware that can be adapted to modern life while still making use of traditional techniques.
There are three major lacquerware production areas in Ishikawa Prefecture: Yamanaka for wood, Wajima for lacquerware, and Kanazawa for makie. Yamanaka specializes in creating wood using the potter's wheel technique, and has used this technique to make bowls and trays.
However, traditional black and vermilion paint alone was not enough to increase sales, and in the fall of 2017, we began developing products with new designs and colors that would stand out. I did.

We are conscious of recent trends, and express modern bright colors and the beauty of traditional lacquering on top of a stylish design using the ``Kiji-no-Yamanaka'' technique.
There are three sizes: S, M, and L, and each can be stored nested like a matryoshka, making it more compact than stacking. Great for carrying around and outdoors.
It looks cool and has a texture that makes you feel cold to the touch.
